Birthday Roses, Grandma’s Vase

Birthday Roses, Grandma's Vase

On a recent birthday, I received these beautiful roses from my thoughtful husband. The only thing that could enhance the flowers was my Grandma Fritzi’s cut crystal vase. As the days passed and the flowers began to fade, I thought I’d better hurry up and paint these stems. There were a lot more roses, but you get the idea. Everyday I looked at my flowers I was reminded of my husband’s thoughtfulness and of course, my dear Grandma.

About mehrlich125

Since I was little I liked to visualize and create things. Painting with watercolors is what makes me happy now. That, and spending time gardening and reading. I love long walks, biking, and the beach. Cape Cod is where I spend a lot of my leisure time.
